The shape and the shading are good. Just remember that the facial features should be on a different layer from the rest of the body (and hands, if you make some in the future). This makes animation easier. Notice that in order to move the face in your example, you've completely flipped the entire image which changes the shading direction. having just the face layer move will solve this problem.
